"News Nastiness"

This story, entitled "News Nastiness, Finally!" comes from Bob Franken, of The Huffington Post, in which he states that Hillary Clinton has a tougher time when it comes to journalist views on her, while Barack Obama, John McCain, and others make off easy and are shown more in a flattering light.

First off, in any election, there is always bad-mouthing of all the candidates, even coming from each of them about one another, and while that shouldn't really be the case, it seems to be the standard. Instead of talking about the issues and why they would be better, they talk about why the other candidate is worse.

The media will take every little bit of info they can about candidates and do what they can to make an interesting story, even if it’s not! Why does the media feel everyone needs to know about the stupid things a candidate did as a child or teenager? I don't think this should be a focus of any campaign. Instead of trying to drag everyone down, can't we hear about only the things that matter? The issues and where they stand on them; what they would do to improve our country; past experiences, etc... Let people make up their own minds based on that! Usually, most of the bad media is based on rumors and speculation anyway, so unless something relates to how they would run our country, why bother mentioning it at all? It’s all a bunch of opinions, and everybody’s got one. If it relates, fine, but the majority of it is only for entertainment or defacing purposes, which is wrong.
